About us
Soapbox Science is a novel public outreach platform for promoting women and non-binary scientists and the science they do. Soapbox Science provides an opportunity for adults, teens, and children alike, to meet prominent female leaders in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine (STEMM) and become inspired by their success. This event is part of an international initiative by Soapbox Science, which aims to bring science to people and challenge gender stereotypes in science careers. Not only does this introduce the public to the fascinating research being conducted by these female leaders, but it shows young people what they are capable of accomplishing in science and as a result, it opens a door full of exciting career paths.

This year our event will be held in person during Science Literacy Week. The event happening on September 24th from 1-4PM (EST) will empower young people, specifically girls and women, to pursue their dreams, much like our amazing speakers.

By including women who study in a diversity of fields within STEMM, we hope to not only draw in students with many different interests, but also showcase the endless possibilities that exist within these fields.
